as many teenagers do, i want to skip high school and get to what i believe will be the interesting and fulfilling part of my life.
annnd i am pretty much a 90s/alt kid after many years of being a faux 'hippie.'
fortunately, i'm far too much of a cynical, bitter, melancholic realist to be a hippie. i realized this on august 3, 2007, when i attended a 'hippiefest,' and saw all the pathetic oldies in fake, blinding 'tie dye,' spouting the same cliches about peace, war and gettin high that they have been using for the past 40+ years. hippies are useful, yes, but only with their comic relief (there's the bitterness! :D).
i am an atheist, and no one's ever going to change that, sorry. (i am a REALIST, after all.)
i was a vegetarian for two years, but i went through a weird phase recently where i started eating meat and watching gangster movies.
the one thing i want right now is a best friend, seeing as i have never had one. i'm extremely jealous of all the people who have one, who they can tell anything to, who calls them all the time, who they actually have things in common with. i don't even have a friend that i have anything in common with, which is really depressing when i think about it.
ah, depressing! that reminds me, i'm bi-polar.
bleh. getting on with it, i have played guitar ever since i started fucking around with the new acoustic one my brother got for his birthday in october 2004. i took lessons for 2 years but quit those at the end of july because i'm incredibly lazy. i would say i'm pretty alright/good at playing.
the only thing i collect is records/vinyl, and i have about 200 or more LPs and almost 100 singles now.
my favorite bands are weezer, the ramones, and the pixies. my two favorite ways of listening to music are either extrovertedly blasting the records on the record player, or introvertedly listening to the CDs on the player with my giant headphones.
in the spirit of myspace, hawhawhaw, i'd like to meet: black francis, rivers cuomo, silent bob/kevin smith, steve gonsalves, john hughes, and M-M-M-M-MAX HEADROOM!
i have three forms of a television in my room. one, the only seemingly normal tv i have, is used only for the VCR, seeing as it loses its channels for a few years, making them reappear once in a purple moon. another is a tiny portable tv with really crappy reception. the third, my favorite, is a cream-colored zenith television with a brown panel and silver knobs, from 1968 (five dollars at goodwill, THE BEST). it's a black-and-white television, but that only makes me love it moooore. it gets a whopping 2-sometimes-3 channels, and i constantly have to change the vertical hold just to get even 1 channel, but it is my lover.

japanese things (this is actually unrelated to rivers cuomo's obsession with japanese things. i like em too)
drama tech/technical theatre/backstage/whatever you call it
and although this 'about me' lacks any sort of capitalization whatsoever (i already said i'm lazy), and it probably bored you and made you think badly of me, my literature teachers have worshiped me for the past three years. so apparently i'm alright at writing, but i don't actually enjoy doing it, unless, of course, it's about what i WANT to write about.
